Managing Posts
It's never been easier to schedule your social media updates! Our goal is for users to have a distinct voice on social media and to be able to maximize interaction and reach by targeting messages to the appropriate audience on each social network. You can customize your post for and social network you're sharing using the advanced posts editor.
Scheduling Posts
To get started, click "Create" button at the top right of the screen. This will open up the post editor where you can craft and schedule your post.

Alternatively, you can schedule posts by clicking on time slots on your Socialverse dashboard. In that way, Socialverse will automatically set the scheduled time for you
From there, select the social accounts you'd like to include by clicking on the related boxes.

Type your message. You're able to customize your post for each social network or create multiple posts each scheduled for different times, all at once.
From there, click Add Post. A separate box will appear. For example, if you want to share a different message to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, you can click Add Post three times. Or you can create multiple posts and select all your accounts as publishing targets. The post editor is designed to adapt to any workflow.

You can then modify the text for each one however you'd like. You can only add a single media to each post you create.
Once your posts are ready, you'll have a few scheduling options:
Share Now: Your posts will be published immediately, essentially skipping the Queue. Schedule: You can select from suggested times or choose a custom date and time in the future for the posts to be shared.
Editing
You can update scheduled posts and generate new ones by combining them with previously published ones.
To begin editing, go to your Socialverse dashboard and press the "Edit" button. This will bring up the editor for that specific post.

You can edit the message and change the time as you like, or assign the post to a different social account.
When you are done, click "Update" to save your changes.
Reposting
From your Socialverse dashboard, you can repost a previously published post. Go to the previous weeks to see your published posts. And under all published posts, there will be a repost option.

Please keep in mind that sending the same message multiple times is usually frowned upon, and most social media platforms have a section of their rules or terms of service that defines what constitutes spam.
If you repeatedly share the same exact message, your social account could be flagged as spam, and your future activity could be blocked by the social network. To prevent this, please try to distinguish your post and change the message when re-posting.
Daily Posting Limits
Accounts are often blocked by social media platforms due to excessive sharing or content duplication. Socialverse is structured to adhere to the policies imposed by social media platforms. We want to foster a culture of genuine sharing by avoiding spamming as far as possible.
And a social media network has its own set of rules on how much information to share. We suggest that you don't post more than 5 times a day on social media. If you need to post more than once a day, here are the upper limits that social media platforms allow without affecting the scope of your posts:
- Facebook 25
- Instagram 25
- Twitter 730
- LinkedIn 50
- Pinterest 100
- Mastodon 700 (may vary in each instance)
Please also keep in mind that:
- these limits are per 24 hour period, rather than per calendar day.
- these limits don't affect the number of posts you can store in your queue at any one time.
⚠️ If we detect excessive behavior that exceeds these limits or repeatedly approaches the upper limits, our systems can suspend your account.
Media Attachments
Learn how to add photos, videos, and emojis to your posts.
For better interaction, we suggest adding a picture, gif, or video to each of your social posts. To attach a media to a post, click the media area in the editor.
Images
The maximum file size you can upload is 15 MB. Socialverse may resize or compress your files if the image attributes or the ratio exceeds the limitations enforced by the social network.
- Facebook: We resize images not to exceed 3000 pixels in height.
- Instagram: We resize images not to exceed 1250 pixels width.
- Twitter: We resize images not to exceed 1024 pixels width.
- Linkedin: We resize images not to exceed 4746 pixels width.
- Mastodon: We resize images not to exceed 1024 pixels width.
GIF
For the time being, we only allow GIFs (up to 10MB) in posts that are scheduled for Twitter.
Socialverse does not explicitly support users to upload GIFs to Facebook Pages, Instagram, or LinkedIn. We sincerely regret the lack of flexibility in that field. When sharing a GIF image to these networks, Socialverse will convert it to a static image.
Link Attachments
When you include a link in your post, Socialverse scrapes it and creates a link preview that is attached to your post.
As long as the webpage at the connection supports The Open Graph Protocol, link attachments resemble what you'd see if you shared a link directly on social media.
Customizing link attachments is currently not possible. If the website/link you're sharing doesn't use The Open Graph Protocol, the actual attachment on social networks can vary from the preview attachment Socialverse generates.
Videos
Video attachments are currently a beta feature. To request access, please contact us.
Character Limitations
Character limits are enforced on social media platforms. Each form of social account has its own set of character restrictions. Socialverse will search for character count every time you build a new message.
Limits:
- Facebook: 5000
- Instagram: 2000
- Twitter: 280
- Linkedin: 1000
- Mastodon: 500
Socialverse can impose the shortest character limit when posting on several social networks at the same time. If you want to share to Facebook and Twitter at the same time, for example, you'll only be able to type 280 characters. If you want to share to both Facebook and Linkedin at the same time, the limit will increase to 1300.
