How to add Holiday Decorations?

You can add background falling objects, lights and mouse cursor effects to your store.

Falling Object​

We'll make it snow on your store for the holidays in this example. Any item of your choice can be substituted for the object falling. There are countless options.

Adding Falling Object​

First open the app in your Shopify store and click Customize

Next Shopify Theme editor will open with settings for Magic decorations on the left. Find the Falling Object setting and select snow.

Disabling Falling Object​

To disable the falling object effect, select Disable from the same dropdown setting.

Cursor Effects​

Cursor effects are intended to assist you in creating a memorable shopping experience. When you apply a cursor effect, the mouse cursor will change and leave marks as it moves. Sometimes the object will be hung to the cursor in a very amusing way, guaranteed to make your customer smile. First open the app in your Shopify store and click Customize

Adding Cursor Effect​

Next Shopify Theme editor will open with settings for Magic decorations on the left. Find the Cursor Effect setting. Select from objects available and test it out in the preview screen.

Disabling Cursor Effect​

To disable the falling object effect, select Disable from the same dropdown setting.

Lights​

Light effects are a simple way to add light ornaments to the screen's borders. It will instantly change the mood in your store and get you and your customers in the holiday spirit.

Adding Light Ornaments​

Next Shopify Theme editor will open with settings for Magic decorations on the left. Find the Lights setting.

There are some light color and light display options available. Try different combinations to see which ones work best for the holiday you're designing for.

If you find the default Light style distracting for your design, you have the option to hide cables and even bulbs.

Disabling Cursor Effect​

To disable the light ornaments completely, select Disable from the same Lights setting.

Homepage only Display​

You can choose to only display holiday decorations on the homepage. When this option is enabled, decorations will be removed as soon as the user navigates to another page.
